With 37 years in the industry, there’s not much she doesn’t know about hairdressing. She enjoys creating styles that are easily maintained at home for her clients.
What inspired you to follow a career in the industry?
I was very creative at school and hairdressing really appealed to me.
How would you describe your personal style as a hairdresser?
Funky feminine style with an emphasis on ease of styling.
If you could style the hair of any celebrity, past or present, who would it be?
I would love to do Audrey Hepburn's hair she always had the cutest wee bangs and I loved her updos.
What’s the go-to product/tool you can’t live without?
System professional Lux oil it's a beautiful product smells lovely and has heat protection in it.
What do you enjoy most about working at Cheynes Bruntsfield?
It’s such a privilege to join my clients on their hair journey, whether it's an upcoming wedding or a big night out. Occasionally it might be working with them though a hair loss journey. Every client is a unique.
The Bruntsfield salon is brilliant and we have such a good time every day.
How are you spending an ideal day off in Edinburgh?
I love to meet up with my friends at the voodoo rooms such a beautiful place and so many amazing gigs happening there also. Daytime I will usually be at the beach with my dogs, I’m so lucky to have it on my doorstep.
